tonight? mmm…looks like chicken for us too…humane, free range, organic chicken….
and chard out of our garden….and a lettuce salad…
and now everyday I eat GABA rice. My holistic doc asked that I buy a special rice cooker that germinates the rice for 2 hours…..and then it cooks it for 1 hour…..(brown rice) It makes the rice much more nutritious in general and creates GABA as well.
(that’s why I eat cold rice with fruit and plain kefir or yogurt in the morning for breakfast)
The GABA is highly absorbable this way, unlike the supplements that most people don’t benefit from. I eat at least a cup of the GABA rice a day. It’s very yummy.

Tonight…tomato and parsley pesto with fresh tomatoes from the farmer’s market and whole grain pasta…and lots of parmesan cheese (I love parmesan cheese!).

oh yum, Jazz that sounds fantastic!!
I just made my first batch of homemade basil pesto out of our garden this year I freeze several containers of it every summer to last throughout the year. I use it for the classic pesto pasta, but also I take out chunks to use in anything that fresh basil and garlic would be good in. The parmesan and pine nuts don’t ever get in the way of anything I’m adding it to either….

I love basil pesto, Gianna…I’m still using some of the basil my dad grew last year and froze. Waiting eagerly for this year’s crop!
I’m doing basil pesto this weekend…with chunks of fresh tomato and lightly sauteed mushrooms…and of course, lots of parmesan cheese. My hubby would eat pasta every day if I let him!

pasta has to be a small side dish for me…I gotta get a good dose of protein in…sometimes I make sauces heavy with something like ground turkey, or organic, nitrite free sausage…I like pasta too, but I gotta get my protein to feel good.

I’m afraid I am not a very healthy eater, but I appreciate the info on your blog. I love the Ezekiel breads, especially the Sesame with cashew/macadamia butter and raspberry fruit spread. Healthy, but don’t tell me how many points are in it. I don’t want to know!! 😉

Hi Preciousrock,
Exekiel bread has less points in it that the other breads. I will have to double check, but I think one slice has only 1 point. And I think “regular” bread has two or three
